Call for Papers
In the last years, the increasing social awareness about the need for containing energy consumption within sustainable rates has caught the interest of both the industrial and academic communities. In this scenario Internet and, more generally, ICT may play a twofold role, being both a significant energy consumer, and a potential actor in steering a more clever overall usage of the energy resources. Both aspects of the problem raise interesting scientific challenges and require a comprehensive effort and inter-disciplinary research.
The goal of this workshop is to bring together people from different research areas, and provide a forum to exchange ideas, discuss solutions, and share experiences among researchers, professionals, and application developers both from industry and academia.
Original papers addressing both theoretical and practical aspects of energy-awareness for Internet-based systems, and the design of distributed systems for eco-sustainability are solicited.

Editorial follow up
Papers of particular merit will be considered for a possible fast-track publication in the Elsevier Journal of Computer Communications (COMCOM).
Paper Submission
All submissions will be handled electronically. Papers must be written in English and should not exceed 6 pages in IEEE proceedings style. Authors should prepare a PDF file strictly following the instructions available on the workshop web site. Accepted papers will be published as part of the conference proceedings. At least one author of each accepted paper must register and attend the conference to present the paper.
