Simona works on the design of efficient algorithms and techniques for the analysis of large amounts of data in different domains. In particular, she has contributed to the proposal of algorithms for biological networks alignment and clustering, pattern discovery from sequences, graphs and digital images, data compression, knowledge extraction from biological and social data.
